Remove Red Wine Stain
If you drink red wine, stains are almost inevitable, whether a spillage, drip or circle from the base of the glass. Red wine is a culprit for staining whatever it splashes on to. First thing you need to do is to put some salt on to blot the stain and stop it from soaking in while you get organized.
Pour a small amount of either soda water or white wine on to the stain. Pat with a white paper towel to soak up all the liquid – do not rub as this will drive the stain deeper. Glycerine is also known to be able to loosen the stain. Repeat as you feel necessary. Then sponge clean using warm water.
On non-washable fabric, make up a solution of peroxide and water in equal quantities and sponge the stain.
There are also some great stain removals for red wine, which are always handy to keep in the store cupboard!
