Blood Stains

Accidents are always happening, whether it's a nose bleed or a fall, and blood always seems to be one of the hardest things to remove.
On washable clothing put the garment straight under a cold tap. Never use hot water as that will only set the stain and then it will be impossible to remove it.
Rub the stain under the running code water until it comes out. If it persists soak the garment in cool water, with a little lemon juice or salt.
If the stain still remains and it is a white garment, put a little bleach in the water, then wash in biological washing powder.
If the blood stain is on furniture or carpet it is more difficult as you can’t really put under a running tap!! Make up a starchy paste or cornflour and salt paste and place on the stain and leave it to dry. Then brush off and repeat if necessary.
